StereoQueerEval joins SemEval 2027: spotting LGBTQIA+ stereotypes and hate speech in four languages
debora_nozza · x · 2026-10-15
StereoQueerEval (Task 8) is now a shared task at SemEval 2027, testing whether NLP systems can detect stereotypes and hate speech targeting LGBTQIA+ people across English, Italian, Dutch, and Persian.
It offers three subtasks (stereotype identification, explicit vs implicit hate speech, target/identity identification) that can be attempted individually. Training/dev data is available after signing a data usage agreement; evaluation runs Jan 10–31 with submissions via Codabench and a required technical report.
