Privacy-Preserving Intent Fulfilment and Assurance for 6G RAN
Intent-based network management can automate 6G service lifecycles, but existing fulfilment/assurance needs traffic inspection, per-flow tracking, or vendor-internal telemetry — conflicting with multi-tenant privacy constraints and O-RAN vendor opacity.
Core idea
- Provision resources from declared intent categories without traffic inspection
- Verify fulfilment using only cell-level standardized PM counters at the O1 interface
- A data-processing inequality bounds resource-allocation leakage about traffic content at log₂K bits (K categories); with q cells required per category among M, the ceiling drops to log₂⌊M/q⌋ bits
- Intent–traffic unlinkability and node-opaque verification hold by construction
Evaluation
- Mapped to the 3GPP intent lifecycle and O-RAN Non-RT RIC
- On production PM data from four operator networks, the category-mean scorer has higher AUC on three networks and comparable on the fourth; per-cell screening suits sparse faults
- Limitations acknowledged: within-period cell co-movement limits a category mean to evidence from 6–14 independent cells
