Socratic prompting: stack questions before answers for strategy-level AI output
bigaiguy · x · 2026-10-13
Socratic prompting is overkill for factual queries, formatting, basic code and quick rewrites, but shines for strategic thinking, nuanced analysis and multi-step reasoning. The advanced move: stack questions — ask what a top growth marketer would ask before building a funnel, what data they'd need and which assumptions they'd validate, then have the model answer those and design from the answers. 'You're programming the AI's thinking process.'
