Free ML workshop on math Discord: traditional ML to graph learning, starts Oct 17
zeroalephzeta · reddit · 2026-10-13
A free machine learning workshop will run on the math Discord server starting Saturday, Oct 17, with weekly lectures and lab sessions (3-5 PM CEST) and instructor code reviews.
Curriculum spans three parts: traditional ML (linear models, gradient descent, supervised/unsupervised, best practices), intro to deep learning (MLP, backprop, autoencoders, RNNs, CNNs, attention and transformers, signal processing), and graph ML (feature engineering, node embeddings, knowledge graph embeddings, GNNs, subgraph sampling). Prerequisites: Python, Calculus I, basic linear algebra; resource links provided.
