LocalLM Lab SDK adds MCP Apps support, rendering tool UIs inline in chat
AdventurousKeys · reddit · 2026-10-13
Developer AdventurousKeys updated LocalLM Lab SDK (locallmlab.dev) with support for the MCP 2028-07-28 protocol and the MCP Apps extension: when a tool exposes a ui:// HTML resource, host apps can render it inline in chat. A demo shows a local Qwen3 8B model calling Todoist's find-tasks-by-date tool and rendering a 'Tasks for Today' widget in the conversation. The author is soliciting bug reports and feedback on both implementations.
