Live talk: MinerU-Popo paper on fixing OCR's cross-page context failures
HamelHusain · x · 2026-10-13
Isaac Flath and Joe Barrow are hosting a free live session on OCR post-processing and the MinerU-Popo paper (Universal Post-Processing Model for Structured Document Parsing). Core problem: VLM-based OCR typically extracts one page at a time and fails when cross-page context matters — tables split across pages, headings and sections spanning several pages — degrading search, extraction, and RAG quality. They'll cover what needs fixing after OCR, how MinerU-Popo handles cross-page paragraphs/tables and organizes headings and images, and which workflows benefit. Oct 14, 7:30–8:30 p.m. ET, with recording and notes.
