Amp coding agent adds GitHub Webhooks: PR reviews and CI results flow back into the same thread
HamelHusain · x · 2026-10-13
Amp, the coding agent, shipped first-class GitHub Webhooks support. When Amp opens a PR, the agent can subscribe to comments, reviews, and CI results for its latest commit — a failing check or reviewer question shows up in the same thread where the agent already has full context to respond.
- Creating a PR via gh pr create auto-creates a GitHub subscription
- You can ask Amp to spawn a dedicated orb for every new issue or PR (optionally filtered by label), with later comments converging into one thread
- Subscriptions are managed under Settings → MCP & Integrations → GitHub, where you can edit, pause, and inspect spawned orbs
- A demo screenshot shows 3 workflows passing in 4m12s and the agent picking up a reviewer's follow-up request and adding a test
Requires installing the Amp GitHub App on your repository.
