Pokee AI: frontier-level models will run fully on local hardware within 2 years
Kyrannio · x · 2026-10-12
Pokee AI founder Zheqing (Bill) Zhu predicts at Valley101's Alignment 2026 that models close to today's frontier will run entirely on local hardware within two years. Pokee-Isaac already runs a 30B+ parameter model on a standard AI PC with 32GB RAM: 200K-token context, 1,200+ tokens/sec prefill, 20+ tokens/sec decode. Drivers: demand for data control and smaller models catching up to the frontier.
