Ben Bajarin: AI Has Moved the Memory Floor — Stop Valuing DRAM by Old Cycles
BenBajarin · x · 2026-10-13
Creative Strategies analyst Ben Bajarin pushes back on memory market FUD, arguing the industry misreads the segment. His paid note "Bet on Bits not History" contends:
- Investors have long valued memory suppliers by price cycle, since price swings dominated revenue while bit demand compounded underneath
- AI workloads changed that: memory revenue = bits × price, and the bit base is now far larger, so downturn floors sit higher
- The historical lens understates full-cycle earnings, and the TAM's shape remains unknown
His Atlas research portal also covers Micron Q4 FY26, HPE networking, and Synopsys's agentic EDA.
