ModelBest signs strategic deal with China Telecom AI unit for on-device AI

ModelBest (面壁智能) signed a strategic partnership with China Telecom's AI subsidiary covering on-device intelligence and industry AI. The two will co-develop consumer on-device AI products leveraging Telecom's cloud-network infrastructure and nationwide channels, build vertical-industry standardized models and agent infrastructure for enterprises, and jointly research inference acceleration. ModelBest's MiniCPM on-device models already ship in cars, smart homes, AI phones and AI PCs; the deal aims to create a "cloud training, on-device deployment" closed loop for scaled adoption.
