Hone, founded by ex-Cognition Devin team, raises $60M seed from Benchmark and Index

Applied AI lab Hone has raised a $60M seed round led by Benchmark and Index Ventures. The three founders researched RL and language models at Stanford, were part of Cognition's founding team that built Devin, and led engineering at Mercor as it passed $1B in revenue.
Hone targets the gap between what frontier models can do and what organizations actually get out of them. It builds Engines — AI teammates that take on a role, learn how a company works, act in its systems, and are held to a single standard: the value they create.
