GitHub Copilot will offload tasks to local models like MAI-Code-1.1 Flash via HydraFusion
mariorod1 · x · 2026-10-08
GitHub Copilot is integrating with Microsoft's HydraFusion hybrid intelligence architecture, letting it hand suitable tasks to models running locally on the device (such as MAI-Code-1.1 Flash) and fall back to the cloud when needed. The pitch: more work per dollar by leaning on on-device compute for agent coding.
