A small AI-community spat: Scott Alexander responded to Melanie Mitchell saying he didn't mean to belittle her, but objected to her being cited as one of three experts representing consensus on AI danger in an article claiming "scientists" rejected that conclusion. tallinzen then questioned the wording, arguing the phrase "She has no expertise in modern LLMs" can hardly be read as anything but the (incorrect) claim that Mitchell lacks expertise in modern LLMs.
