Nathan Lambert launches Trillium Labs, a nonprofit for open post-training frontier AI science

Nathan Lambert unveiled Trillium Labs, a new non-profit dedicated to open science of frontier AI. The group will build open post-training recipes and expand into open infrastructure to study RSI, reward-hacking, and multi-agent systems. Its theory of change: hard technical problems need more eyes, and AI is becoming too closed to benefit from the scientific method and community. A retweeter urges researchers considering frontier-lab post-training alignment roles to join Lambert instead and actually publish their work.
