At the STS forum 23rd Annual Meeting in Kyoto, Sakana AI CEO Ito argued that the source of competitive advantage in AI deployment is shifting from single-model performance to the orchestration power of the overall system.
- With continuous access to frontier AI becoming a strategic issue, he said a multi-model setup plus an independent capability to evaluate AI is the key to new "AI sovereignty."
The Koji Omi Memorial plenary session "Lights and Shadows of AI" gathered leaders from research, academia and industry to discuss safety, trust, governance and international cooperation.
