Anti-screens research is a dumpster fire; one parent generates 20+ AI worksheets a day
RexDouglass · x · 2026-10-06
The author argues anti-screens research is methodologically a dumpster fire, mostly comparing wealthier families with spare time against poor families using devices as babysitters, while nobody studies what an actual empiricist can do with the technology.
His own example: his child now grinds 20+ worksheets a day on a tablet "for fun" — generated dynamically by the parent based on school assignments and rebalanced using daily analytics, all done by a tired parent.
