Claude Code turns 1,321 exercises into an interactive galaxy for $190 in tokens
Stabbz · reddit · 2026-10-04
A solo developer used Claude Code (Opus) to build an interactive browser page for his Android workout app Kinoku: each of the 1,321 exercises is a star, clustered by muscle group, and a Body view splits them into 4,903 lights on the app's muscle map.
He shared a full cost breakdown: 4 sessions, 1,653 API messages, 1.65M output tokens (700K thinking), 586M cache reads, totaling $190 at Opus API list prices — with only 3,306 tokens of fresh input. About 60% of the cost came from re-reading the full context each step. Prompts were ordinary conversational descriptions, and he ran it on a Max 20 plan rather than paying API rates.
