AgentTerm turns AI CLI sessions into a visual workspace, open sourced
AIIDreamNoDrive · reddit · 2026-10-04
A developer who daily uses Claude Code, Codex, Cursor CLI and Copilot CLI found that expanding the terminal itself changed his workflow more than switching CLIs. Since January he's been building AgentTerm, an open-source (MIT) tool that expands each CLI session into a rich visual workspace.
Core uses:
- Document collaboration: read docs as rendered pages, comment on passages or propose edits directly, and the agent revises — with both your proposals and the agent's changes visible
- Cross-session tracking: distinguish running sessions, find and resume past ones without remembering which CLI was used
- Also: code walkthroughs with in-place feedback before opening PRs, phone access, and more
Free, MIT licensed, no telemetry or account; works across all AI CLIs.
