PrAIvy: A P2P Network to Share Local Ollama Instances Across Users
Matty_za33 · reddit · 2026-10-04
Indie developer Mattyza33 shared PrAIvy, a side project building a decentralized network where users running Ollama locally can share compute with others, letting anyone query those models via a web interface instead of Big Tech cloud APIs.
How it works now:
- Providers run an agent script next to Ollama that connects via WebSocket to a Node.js server.
- The server dynamically detects the active local model (e.g. Qwen 2.5, Llama 3) and adds it to the active pool on the web chat.
- End-user queries on the site are routed directly to an available local node.
The author is currently testing stability, dynamic discovery, and node state handling, and asks for feedback on network flow and architecture.
