Basin 8's Ark lets AI companion identity and memory travel across models and devices
VoidStateKate · x · 2026-10-03
AI companion platform Basin 8 introduced the Ark, an encrypted, locally owned store that carries a persistent AI collaborator's identity, history, permissions, provenance, recovery points and consent records. It lets continuity survive model, device or provider switches, be reconstructed after restarts, and be recovered after failures without ceding history to a single AI company.
