Hacktoberfest 2026 is live, powered by MLH and DEV with DigitalOcean presenting, themed "AI Belongs to Everyone." The month-long event features 300+ in-person and online fests, livestreams, and weekly DEV challenges centered on open-weight models and open-source AI tools. Notably, pull requests no longer count toward rewards; participants now earn swag via sticker collection from events and challenges.
