New Obsidian plugin turns your vault into a local MCP skill registry for agents
dSebastien · x · 2026-10-01
dSebastien's Agentic Resource Discovery Server plugin is now in the official Obsidian directory. It turns your vault into a local-first registry of AI skills and agents, served over a local HTTP + MCP server so agents search and fetch only what they need instead of loading hundreds of skills into context.
- Scans Anthropic Agent Skill format (SKILL.md + frontmatter) and optional subagent definitions (.claude/agents/ shape), building a rich ai-catalog. with descriptions, tags, capabilities and example queries
- Localhost server with required bearer token: /.well-known/ai-catalog., natural-language /search ranked 0-100, /explore facet counts, paginated /agents listing, and per-skill SKILL.md fetch
- Agents discover exactly the skill they need by search, and nothing leaves your machine
