Obsidian plugin turns your vault into an MCP catalog of skills, saving tens of thousands of tokens

The author built the Agentic Resource Discovery Server plugin for Obsidian: it turns your vault into a local catalog of skills and agents, served over HTTP and MCP. Agents search the catalog when they need something and fetch only that resource.
The motivation was a real pain point: as his AI skill library grew, Claude Code loads the name and description of every skill at startup — with hundreds of skills, that cost tens of thousands of tokens before he typed a word. On-demand discovery removes most of that fixed overhead.
