Physics blogger 4gravitons discloses the terms behind his paid post on Anthropic's science blog: Anthropic read his earlier 'It Only Counts When AI Gets to My Field' post, tackled a problem he flagged, and invited him to write. He insisted on writing his own opinion, not an ad; Anthropic could propose light edits only. He signed nothing, not even an NDA, and says they didn't push boundaries. As a freelancer he charged a mid-market rate — more than low-paying outlets, less than high-paying ones — and doesn't expect a longer-term business relationship.
