Nvidia's Jensen Huang: if AI labs really threaten humanity, "shut them down"
AlexTensor · x · 2026-09-24
Nvidia CEO Jensen Huang says he does not believe AI poses an existential threat to humanity, no matter how many former AI lab employees sound the alarm. But if people at labs like Anthropic or OpenAI really are on the verge of destroying the world, his answer is simple: "shut them down."
The comments reinforce Huang's long-standing position that AI risk should be governed at the application level, in sharp contrast to warnings from safety-minded researchers inside frontier labs.
