PyTorch Conference 2026 calls for academic OSS projects, 8 slots for Day 0 workshop

The PyTorch Foundation OSPO & Academic Outreach Working Group is inviting academic open source projects to submit for a Day 0 workshop at PyTorch Conference North America 2026.
- Projects using PyTorch, DeepSpeed, Helion, Ray, Safetensors, or vLLM are eligible
- Eight selected projects will give five-minute lightning talks, followed by a hands-on workshop and mentor office hours
- Topics may include open source readiness, governance, reproducibility, community, security, maintenance, and ecosystem positioning
- Open to students, researchers, faculty, university labs, academic OSPOs, and maintainers
- Deadline: September 30, 2026, midnight PT
