Meta's new AI app Muse has amassed more mobile downloads and daily active users in its first 12 days (US and Canada) than ChatGPT did over the same period, according to estimates from Apptopia/Appfigures. The comparison was normalized to account for different launch strategies: ChatGPT launched globally on iOS only, while Muse is on both app stores but US/Canada only. Alexandr Wang shared the report, quipping that Meta is "outpacing the frontier" while stressing the company's commitment to responsible frontier-model training on alignment, security, and safety.
