On the Terence Burns podcast, pharma veteran David Wallach responds to Demis Hassabis's claim of curing all diseases within 10 years:
- Scientists respect Demis and are happy to test AI-driven ideas ("Cool, yeah, let's run it").
- But researchers with two PhDs and 40 years in the field hear "cure all diseases in 10 years" and say "Come on, man."
- He calls it false hope for patients and families facing terminal illness: "That's a little messed up."
