Meta's Muse AI app reached 2.8M downloads across both app stores in its first 12 days, beating ChatGPT's early launch on several metrics, per Appfigures data.
- On a comparable US+Canada iOS basis, Muse hit 1.8M downloads vs ChatGPT's 1.3M
- Muse set a US daily download record of 264K on Sept. 19; ChatGPT took roughly a year to cross 200K daily US downloads
- Engagement also leads: Muse reached 448K US DAUs by day 10 (ChatGPT took 49 days for 450K), and hit 642K mobile DAUs by day 12 vs 231K for ChatGPT
The poster also notes Meta stock may gap to all-time highs on the news, admitting he under-sized his position.
