Reacting to a Procwire article on agent memory, the author argues the bigger risk isn't forgetfulness but over-writing: a casual 'dark mode today' becoming a permanent persona. Forgetting harms continuity; noisy writes harm identity. He proposes four evaluation criteria: promotion threshold (one mention vs. repeated pattern before entering long-term memory), expiry (do stale preferences downgrade?), write confirmation (user approval?), and traceable veto (one-click rejection with history). Restraint beats completeness for Personal AI.
