Musk sleeps in a trailer supervising Colossus expansion, hints at Tesla-SpaceX merger

At the All-In Summit, Elon Musk revealed he's living in an Airstream trailer in Memphis to supervise the Colossus datacenter buildout — "He does actually sleep on the factory floor," said SpaceX President Shotwell. Colossus famously deployed 100K GPUs in 122 days, doubled to 200K in another 92, targets 1M GPUs by 2026, and a fourth Memphis facility (Minihard) is planned. With xAI merged into SpaceX, the AI-infrastructure narrative has inflated SpaceX's IPO, landing billions in contracts from Google and Anthropic. Musk also confirmed Tesla and SpaceX are jointly building Terafab, an Austin fab targeting >1TW of compute hardware per year, with equipment ordered for useful output by end of next year — and pointedly declined to rule out a Tesla-SpaceX merger. Tesla already invested $2B in SpaceX, and SpaceX's Megapack purchases brought Tesla $405M in H1 revenue.
