Claude upgrade-page traffic rebounded to 17.6M in September, near May's 18.6M peak

Similarweb's report ahead of Anthropic's IPO shows worldwide traffic to Claude's upgrade page fell from 18.6M in May and June to 16.8M in July and 14.7M in August, then rebounded to 17.6M in September — nearly back to mid-year levels.
Commentator firstadopter attributes the rebound to the Opus 5.5 release on September 22, arguing all third-party data confirm Anthropic regained growth share after months of ceding ground to stiffer OpenAI competition.
