Workshop 0.3.1: Open-Source Execution Architecture for Grounded AI Work

Promptmethus · x · 2026-09-16

DirectModels released Workshop 0.3.1, an open-source execution architecture for grounded AI work, along with a fully readable Kernel document.

The architecture aims to turn intended outcomes into useful work, preserve context through change, act within actual authority, and correct results against observed reality. Key modules include Undertaking (define intended outcome, purpose, user, constraints, acceptance criteria and unfinished obligations), Structure (subjects, parts, relationships, dependencies, preserving alternatives), Information (distinguishing evidence, claims, inferences and assumptions with recorded origin), and Position and Zoom.

The author also vents about building the project with AI: the model kept making stupid versioning and file-naming mistakes, upgrading tiny patches to major releases — a relatable pain point for AI-assisted development.
