Apple ships Gemini-based Siri revamp, but not in the EU

Apple is shipping its long-delayed rebuilt "Siri AI," powered by Google's Gemini models and running partly on-device, partly via Private Cloud Compute. Early testers praise multi-step requests and screen context but report hallucinations and gaps in personal context. For regulatory reasons, the new Siri remains unavailable in the EU for now.
