Open-source ProxyPin MCP Workbench lets AI assistants inspect mobile app traffic
Designer-Subject8560 · reddit · 2026-09-15
A developer open-sourced ProxyPin MCP Workbench, a fork built on ProxyPin and existing MCP forks, addressing the pain that capturing traffic is only step one when exporting your own data from an iPhone app — finding endpoints and organizing responses still took manual work.
- AI assistants can search captured requests and inspect response bodies
- Captures are organized into projects and API catalogs, with JSON/CSV export
- Response rewrite rules group into Mock scenarios, with diagnostics for why a rule did or didn't match
The workflow they want feedback on: turning a real list response into an empty-list mock to test the app's empty state. macOS and Windows downloads available; captures stay local, but your AI client may send what it reads to its model provider.
