Devin left alone with Modal H100s cuts training kernel peak memory 46% and latency 52%

A developer connected Devin (coding agent) to Modal H100s and let it run its own experiment loop autonomously. On a popular open-source training-kernel repo it cut peak memory by up to 46% and latency by up to 52%. Since the Triton kernel was already near peak HBM bandwidth, it found other wins — removing a redundant 2GB allocation in every backward-pass chunk — and ran benchmarks to confirm the speedup.
