Researchers propose auto desk-rejecting AI-generated arXiv submissions

Thomas Dietterich flags a new trend of arXiv submissions whose authors likely don't understand their own papers. A proposal suggests Pangram provide free API credits so arXiv can auto desk-reject submissions flagged above an AI-generation threshold, plus temporary bans for repeat offenders to remove incentives for cheap spam.
