Zhipu raises $5B, with 60% earmarked for next-gen GLM models and a self-training RSI loop

Cited reports say Zhipu (Z.ai) has raised $5 billion. 60% of the net proceeds will fund next-generation GLM models and the company's so-called "Fully Self Training" system.
Its stated goal is for each GLM generation to build the environments used to train the next one, forming what it calls a Recursive Self-Improvement (RSI) loop. The retweeter is bearish, reading the raise as a sign that competition for compute is getting desperate.
