An unnamed firm already runs a fairly scaled dedicated vehicle for compute lending, says analyst

AI compute analyst Matt Slotnick asked which firm would build the first compute lending practice (GC, Lightspeed, BCV, Sequoia or someone else), then followed up saying he's been informed that a firm not on that list already has a fairly scaled dedicated vehicle for it — though not at Blackstone or Apollo tier.
The development suggests private capital is moving into AI compute financing via dedicated vehicles, but the firm remains undisclosed and the claim is unverified.
