djma released Exegete, an open-source EPUB reader built for the BOOX Palma 2 e-ink Android device, featuring Exy — a spoiler-conscious AI reading companion you can invoke from the current page or a selected passage. It reads local EPUB 2/3 via Readium, flips pages without animation (with volume-key support), and offers adjustable typography, day/night modes, position restore, chapter links, a scrubber, and per-book bookmarks — all in a monochrome, low-motion interface designed for black-and-white displays. Early beta, personal project.
