Claude Artifacts quietly became collaborative docs with self-saving pages and a shared database

allixsenos · reddit · 2026-09-13

Artifacts published from Claude Code now function as collaborative documents: pages can save new versions from the browser, share a realtime database, show who's viewing, call Claude on the viewer's account, and route comments back to the Claude session that built them — which replies and edits the page. A "live docs" mode where typing is the document and Claude edits back within seconds is described but not yet live for the author. The author calls it a Google Docs challenger.
