OpenAI has welcomed Aidan Cunniffe and Sasha Savarlamov, the team behind Git AI — an open-source tool that helps developers understand how coding agents contribute to their codebase. The company says they'll build together on Codex to make it easier for businesses and individuals to see where Codex makes a difference, while keeping Git AI open source and continuing to invest in it. Codex product lead Romain Huet confirmed the move.
