Meta is reportedly working on a cryptographically secure VM with Signal creator Moxie Marlinspike that would verifiably prevent Meta itself from accessing user data. Supporters argue Meta's 22-year track record—only one confirmed penetration (2018)—makes it a surprisingly secure home for personal agent data.
