Replit predicts every Fortune 500 will be a 'Self-Driving Company' by end of 2030

Replit published a long-form essay and launched Replit for Business, arguing that by the end of 2030 every Fortune 500 company will operate as a 'Self-Driving Company' where humans set goals and exercise judgment while AI agents handle execution.
Framed via Coase's theory of the firm, the piece argues companies' internal coordination costs (meetings, bureaucracy, reporting) are the next target for AI-driven compression. Replit says the shift started in engineering, with engineer productivity nearly tripling, and warns laggards will face an existential competitive choice.
