Arm lands Lenovo and ByteDance's Volcengine as first China customers for its AI server chips

Per Caixin, Arm Holdings has signed Lenovo and ByteDance's cloud unit Volcengine as the first Chinese customers for its self-developed AGI CPU. The deals mark a key step in Arm's pivot from licensing architecture blueprints to selling fully designed processors, aiming to capture a bigger slice of the Nvidia-dominated data center hardware market.
