Alchemy's Lambda Web Functions run plain Node web servers on Lambda, no OpenNext needed
samgoodwin89 · x · 2026-10-27
Alchemy introduced AWS Lambda Web Functions, letting you run ordinary web servers on Lambda without complicated transformations like OpenNext. The "node" builds of vite/next/etc. just work, with simple Node processes and native stream support. A sample config shows declarative setup with entry file and canary weighting; the author also added SSR support to foldkit on top of it.
