Show-Harness lets frontier VLMs directly drive real robots, no VLA or calibration needed
MikeShou1 · x · 2026-09-10
Researchers unveiled Show-Harness, an embodied harness that lets frontier VLMs — GPT-6 Astra, Gemini, Claude, and even lightweight Qwen and InternVL — directly control real robots, described as "Claude Code for robotics." Key claims: strong robot policies may already exist inside VLMs, no extra VLA training or calibration is needed, one interface spans models/robots/tasks, and lightweight fine-tuning (e.g., Qwen) further speeds control.
