Humanoid walking is continuous correction — watch recovery, not locomotion, in demos
Olivier__OG · x · 2026-10-26
Based on NVIDIA Isaac Lab and Isaac Sim docs: humanoids do enormous work before lifting a foot — sensors estimate orientation, joint position and ground contact while the controller shifts weight and continuously corrects mid-step; simulation enables locomotion practice before sim2real transfer. Tip: judge demos by recovery quality, not walking.
