Shanghai AI Lab-led team releases 100-hour egocentric wearable dataset for humanoid training
ChuckDBrooks · x · 2026-10-26
Researchers at Shanghai AI Laboratory, Zhejiang University and Shanghai Jiao Tong University compiled a 100-hour human activity dataset captured with a new wearable system, aimed at training humanoid loco-manipulation. The dataset (EgoExplorer, arXiv preprint) fuses egocentric video, reconstructed whole-body and finger motion, tactile data, and per-step task text descriptions, capturing how locomotion, posture, and object interaction co-evolve as tasks unfold. Toolkit and data are publicly released.
