Editor Hunter Weiss spent a day cutting in DaVinci Resolve via the DaVinci MCP server in Claude and says he saved 10 hours. With 15+ years across editing tools, he was especially impressed by the AI's color grading on raw Alexa footage, and plans to test Astra next.
Context: Blackmagic recently shipped DaVinci Resolve 21.1, adding AI assistant integration, expanded still photography support, and 100+ new tools for editors and colorists.
